Powering Tanzania’s industrialisation through the supply of safe, reliable and cost-effective energy

Since July 2004, Songas has been a key provider of essential electricity to the Tanzanian grid. By utilising the country’s own natural gas resources, the Songas facility continues to supply the most cost-effective energy to the region and provides an alternative source of generation.

With Tanzania’s growing demand for electricity, Songas is working with the key sector players and is pursuing further opportunities to continue development of the power sector and powering Tanzania’s industrialisation.
